A group of 26 students presented symptoms of poisoning after consuming sweets that an unknown person gave them as a gift, according to school authorities.
The events occurred in the “Bemérito de las Américas” School in the municipality of Miacatlán, in the state of Moreloswhere the emergency protocols of the Institute of Basic Education of the State of Morelos (IEBEM) and the State Public Safety Commission (CES) had to be activated.
So far, it is known that the Affected students are stable and under medical observationwhile the activities in the afternoon shift of the school continued to develop normally.

According to the information provided by school authorities, it is known that a woman distributed foodstuffs, presumably sweets, to the students who left the morning shift.
Of these, 26 students began to experience dizziness, nausea, headache and drowsinessso they received first aid and were transferred to nearby medical units for care.
Elements of the Morelos Police Coordinated Command are carrying out a search in the area to locate the person or persons responsible for these events, while caring for those affected.
