The best Russian educators were chosen on Monday, November 29, in Moscow. More than 3 thousand applications were submitted for the prize established by the Russian society “Knowledge”. An honorary jury was to select 103 nominees.
“The best and most respected representatives of Russian science and culture. The most important thing is that they are very authoritative people, whose opinion is trusted, therefore choosing the best of the best is always a responsible and difficult task. And here the question of the authority and trust of the jury is extremely important, ” REN TV words of the first deputy head of the presidential administration of Russia Sergei Kiriyenko.
According to Svetlana Balanova, General Director of the National Media Group, it was sometimes very difficult to choose a winner in a category.
“In some categories it is very difficult to choose a winner, in some it is more obvious and indeed there are some very bright projects, very large-scale for the country, doing a very big deal, so in such cases it is a little easier to vote,” she admitted in an interview with Izvestia “.
Applicants for the award will compete in 15 nominations. The names of the laureates will be announced at a ceremony on 7 December.
The Russian society “Knowledge” has established an award to recognize the achievements of Russian educators: teachers, school teachers, lecturers, bloggers, companies, media and projects from various fields of knowledge. Prize winners will be able to cooperate with the Knowledge Society, become residents of the Mashuk educational production center with a wide range of multimedia infrastructure, as well as receive the support of the Knowledge Society in promoting their projects.
Earlier, on November 25, the Art of Knowledge marathon ended in St. Petersburg. During the marathon, spectators and speakers discussed current topics of Russian culture, art and the image of Russia in the historical and modern world. Famous musicians, designers, TV presenters, artists, heads of museums and statesmen took part in open discussions and lectures.
