Needless to say, but Activision Blizzard it is in a very difficult position right now. Not only must the company face multiple lawsuits against it, it must also conduct its own internal investigations to uncover more cases of harassment and discrimination within the study.
Fran Townsend, Chief Compliance Officer within Activision Blizzard, recently offered an interview to The Financial Times, where he revealed that they have already fired and “disciplined” several company employees as a result of these investigations. In his own words:
“No matter what your position is, or what you work in, if you have behaved inappropriately or if you are a leader who has tolerated a culture inconsistent with our values, then we will take action.”
In accordance with Townsend, “More than 20 people have been expelled from Activision Blizzard“, While” more than 20 people have faced some type of disciplinary action.
Editor’s note: It is definitely good news to see that Activision Blizzard is really taking action on the matter, although of course, we do not know exactly how things are inside the study. Be that as it may, let’s hope that things can be resolved in the best possible way for everyone.
