After the clear defeat in Naples, the position of the coach hangs in the balance. For the defender bad injury to his right ankle, today the investigations
The only happy note yesterday at Monza was Adriano Galliani’s visit to the Maradona mural, in memory of the old matches between Sacchi’s Milan and Diego’s Napoli. From that moment on, however, for Galliani himself as for all Monza fans it was absolutely a Sunday to forget. Pablo Mari’s last minute injury was a dark omen, Napoli and Kvaratskhelia took care of the rest, but Stroppa’s team seemed really too tender.
Bad injury
–
As always happens in these cases, there is never an end to the worst and so Andrea Ranocchia’s injury completed the dark-hued picture of a day to be archived. In a lateral closure, the former Inter central felt a crack in his right ankle that “remained under him”, as explained Stroppa at the conference. Consequently, there is a risk that it is a bad knockout and a long stop. Not exactly good news for a rear guard who have already conceded six goals in two games. “Unfortunately, it seems that Ranocchia is very serious. We decided to have him come back with us. He will make the checks as soon as he returns to Monza ”, Stroppa commented with an evidently worried air. The coach’s disappointment is palpable: “We faced an extraordinary team, but we made a lot of mistakes. In the first fifteen minutes we were scared, then we disbanded but we could have done better and conceded less. Napoli’s supremacy was total, but we have to have more courage and also try to give some blows because we were a bit light “.
Reflections in progress
–
Here, if there is something that they really did not like, it was the passive attitude shown also during the second half when Napoli played on velvet. Perhaps this is why Stroppa does not save absolutely anything from yesterday’s match: “What will I have my parents see again? I would say as little as possible. We have to cancel and start again from the good things we had shown with Torino”. Of course, quickly assembling a team with so many new players is not easy for anyone, but for Stroppa there is not much time to lose because there are already ongoing evaluations on his account since the impact of Monza in Serie A is not. it was certainly the one expected. Some positive signs, however, were launched by the former on duty Andrea Petagna, who saw his goal removed from the Var for a foul on Rrahmani: “Amir is a friend, he’s smart. It was a little push. We have to grow and follow. the coach, we have the qualities to have a good season. I’m ready to do my part, as in the past with Spal and Atalanta and as I did with Napoli. ”
