What genre is it part of? Monster Hunter Wilds? Action game? RPG? Dating simulator? If this last example seems incorrect to you, know that currently on Steam the next Capcom product offers a tag that identifies it as such, in the midst of others that make more sense for the title.
It’s all caused by players who, jokingly, suggested the tag “” a sufficient number of timesDating simulators” on the Monster Hunter Wilds Steam page, thus forcing the automatic system to include it in the list. The reason? Come on, you know.
The reason Monster Hunter Wilds is a dating sim
If you really have no idea, we’ll tell you. The players decided to insert this tag because in the most recent presentation trailer they had the opportunity to see a certain character, Gemma the blacksmith. She is a blonde woman who many find very attractive and who immediately attracted attention.
According to Monster Hunter official tweet that you see above, Gemma “will be in charge of all things related to weapons and armor! Be prepared to visit her to craft and improve your equipment during your travels.” The public reaction was to immediately elect the woman as the “waifu” of the game.
The public then began to share fan art dedicated to her, but also to make some theories. According to some, Gemma would be the adult version of a character from Monster Hunter 4. Other faces that appeared in the trailer would also be new versions of old names already known, according to some speculations which, however, for the moment do not seem very credible.
Regardless, it’s clear that players appreciated Gemma. Finally, remember that Monster Hunter Wilds will be just one of Capcom’s games for the Summer Game Fest Showcase.
