Announcements for the Monster Hunter Series Coming?
It was a big 2021 for Monster Hunter, as the giant franchise has welcomed its new main series title, Monster Hunter Rise, and a sequel to the popular spin-off Monster Hunter Stories. Rise has seen constant updates over the eight months following the game’s release with a massive expansion titled Sunbreak slated for next year. Since the expansion was officially announced during Nintendo Direct in Fall 2021, Capcom has slowly been providing information to fans, and a recent rumor suggests that more revelations will come in the coming weeks.
Monster Hunter has become one of Capcom’s biggest franchises in recent years thanks to the huge success of games like Monster Hunter World and laughed. Both games were well supported by Capcom and received frequent updates adding a plethora of free content with each game receiving substantial paid expansions. Now, according to a leaker, more Monster Hunter news is planned for i The Game Awards 2021.
Famous leaker Samus Hunter has revealed that some revelations for the Monster Hunter franchise are likely planned for this year’s The Game Awards. No specific details have been given about the contents of these alleged revelations, but Monster Hunter Rise is currently nominated for several awards at the TGAs, and an announcement could coincide with one of these awards.

Monster Hunter Rise proved to be a huge success for Capcom as the first game in the main series of the franchise to launch on the Nintendo Switch. The latest installment in the series sold over 7 million copies in October, and the upcoming PC release in January will further boost these stellar sales numbers. With Sunbreak’s release currently slated for next summer, and potentially more revelations for the franchise on the way, Monster Hunter is expected to continue its recent success well into the future.
Monster Hunter Rise is now available for Nintendo Switch. The launch of the PC version is scheduled for January 12, 2022.
