Oaxaca.- A group of 42 migrants survived a vehicle accident in Oaxacaduring the early hours of this Thursday, when the truck in which they were traveling overturned in the area known as La Ventosa located on the Tehuantepec isthmus.
According to information from the local police, The accident occurred at 4:00 a.m. on March 24 on the La Ventosa-Salina Cruz highway.while the driver was speeding.
Fortunately, no human losses were reported. only ten people were slightly injuredwho were treated by the emergency groups that arrived at the scene.

The Red Cross brigade members who helped the injured confirmed that there were no deaths from the accident and that there were no serious injuries that required transfer to the hospital.
The migrants came from countries such as Cuba, Venezuela and Haiti, according to official information. This group left Chiapas for the central zone of Mexico. However, they could not reach their destination because they were all transferred to the Salina Cruz port of entry, where the National Migration Institute (INM) will handle their repatriation.
Meanwhile, the driver of the unit was arrested by the authorities and was placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry, where they will define his legal situation.
Hours before the accident, the National Migration Institute reported on the rescue of 150 migrants who were in a situation of overcrowding in a hotel near Guatemala.
The INM explained that “it carried out a migration verification visit in the aforementioned building”, where the people in the context of migration were located, who declared that “they expected to be transferred to the center of Mexican territory”.

The group was transferred to the INM facilities located in the state of Chiapas so that they could receive due care and to initiate the corresponding immigration procedure in these cases.
