The presiding counselor of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), Norma Piña Hernández, sent a congratulations message to the candidate of the Let’s Keep Making History coalition, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardoafter becoming the virtual president-elect of Mexico after the elections held this Sunday, June 2.
Through a letter that was disseminated in the official media of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (PJF), the also president of the Federal Judiciary Council (CJF) extended congratulations to the Morenista for become the first Mexican woman to head the Executive Branch.
“This decision by Mexicans represents, without a doubt, a milestone in the history of the country, among other reasons, because you are the first woman to head the Federal Executive Branch”
Given this and speaking on behalf of all the members of the Power of the Federation that she represents, Piña Hernández extended congratulations and wished the former head of Government of Mexico City success in her new assignment.
The president of the country’s highest court took advantage of reiterate the importance of an “open and honest” dialogue between the Powers of the Union, in order to contribute to the continued functioning of the democracy that frames the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States (CPEUM) and that serves to work together to give the population access to justice.
“From the Federal Judiciary we reiterate the importance for our constitutional democracy of open and honest dialogue between powers and our best disposition to respond together to citizens’ demands for justice,” the letter concluded.
Finally, the letter also It was signed by the rest of the members of the Superior Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation.: Jorge Mario Pardo Rebolledo, Alberto Pérez Dáyan, Alfredo Gutiérrez Ortiz Mena, Luis María Aguilar Morales, Juan Luis González Alcántara Carrancá, Javier Laynez Potisek, Ana María Ríos Farjat, Yasmín Esquivel Mossa, Loretta Ortiz Ahlf and Lenia Batres Guadarrama.
