The Italian is now at the top of the standings
Gabriele Mini he confirmed himself as the master of the Principality by winning the Feature Race again in Monaco as he did a year ago. For the driver within the Alpine academy, this is the second podium of the season, the first victory which so far completes a singular streak of eight different winners in as many races in the 2024 F3 championship.
“It’s extraordinary to win for the second time in Monte Carlo. If there is one victory that a driver wants to achieve, it is the one in the Principality – were the words of Gabriele Minì at the end of the Feature Race – at a certain point, I even went after the fastest lap in the race, but my rear tires were not in optimal condition and I gave priority to defending the race lead. I think I made the right choice, because today the priority was to score twenty-five points. Furthermore, the strategy of not putting excessive stress on the tires allowed me to go further on every restart.”
Minì will show up in Barcelona in just under a month from championship leader at 72 points, four more than Luke Browning, third today, and eight more than his compatriot Leonardo Fornaroli, fifth in Monaco in the Feature Race.
