The new edition of the One thousand miles takes place from 15 to 18 June 2022. They take part in the Freccia Rossa this year 450 historic carswhich by program pass through 250 Italian municipalities from Brescia to Rome and back to Lombardy, traveling almost 2,000 km in 4 days. The 2022 edition crosses the milestone of forty re-enactments: from the two every five years in 1977 and 1982, to the biennial of 1984 up to the annuals from 1986 to today.

The 1000 Miglia 2022 returns to cross Italy in clockwisewith departure and arrival in Brescia after the stages of Cervia-Milano Marittima, Rome and Parma.
Twelve months after a version whose path has resumed the anti-clockwise direction of the pre-war 1000 Miglia, from 1927 to 1938we return to the layout that characterized the editions of 1947 and 1948 and subsequent ones from 1950 to 1957as well as thirty-eight re-enactments out of thirty-nine.
Mille Miglia 2022 program 1st stage
Wednesday 15th Juneafter lunch at the Mille Miglia Museum, the program of the Mille Miglia 2022 includes the traditional catwalk of viale Venezia and the rehearsals in the Castle, the crews pass, for the first time in the race, from Piazza Vittoria. Then they leave Brescia in the direction Lake Gardacrossing Desenzano, Salò and Sirmione before aiming the steering wheels south and descending on the Adriatic.
From Parco Giardino Sigurtà continue along Mantua and Ferrarawhere in the Municipal Theater dinner in the race and approach to the coast of Comacchio is scheduled. The stage ends at Cervia-Milano Marittima for the first overnight stop.
Mille Miglia 2022 program 2nd stage
The second stage of the Mille Miglia 2022, scheduled for Thursday 16 June, is characterized by ups and downs. After Forlì and Gambettola the cars face the hairpin bends that lead to Mount Titano and arrive at San Marino. From here the descent to cross the Marche and head to Urbino.
After the stop for lunch a Passignano sul Trasimenothe journey of the Freccia Rossa resumes to arrive at theAutodrome of Umbria and then to Norcia, the easternmost point of the edition. From here the return to central Italy, with descent up Terni and Rieti until arrival to Rome and the catwalk of Via Veneto.
Mille Miglia 2022 program 3rd stage
Friday 17 the program of the 3rd stage of the Mille Miglia 2022 foresees the ascent from the capital up to Parma, crossing four regions. The race leaves Lazio passing through Ronciglione And Marta. Then comes in Tuscany as far as Sienawith a stop for lunch in Piazza del Campo. The Sienese restaurant serves as a prelude to the passages of San Miniato, Pontedera and Cascinathen a Viareggio and to Versilia.
After Liguria with Sarzana the climb to the suggestive starts Pass of the Cisalast effort before arriving in Emilia Romagna a Parma.
Mille Miglia 2022 final arrival in Brescia

Among the novelties of the Mille Miglia 2022 is the return of the Paddock to Brixia Forum of via Caprera. After the change of location in 2021, due to the setting up of the vaccination hub of the city, the technical checks take place again in the pavilions of the Fair.

At the start of the Mille Miglia 2022 there are 425 historic carsamong which 71 specimens took part in the historical 1000 Miglia 1927-57. The first 10 cars to start are the “665 SUPERBA” OM (winner of the 1000 Miglia 1927). Also two copies of Alfa 8c 2003 they return to Brescia after having participated in the 1000 Miglia in 1932. At the start there are also 9 examples of OSCA for the 75th anniversary of the House (7 of these took part in 1000 Miglia 1927-57), 19 Ferrari And 6 Maserayou sporty competition trim.
The Mille Miglia 2022 also sees the participation of 29 nationswith Italy lining up 324 participantsthe Netherlands 133, the USA 70 and Germany 66.
