Middle East | Organization: In the Israeli attack on Aleppo, 36 died and dozens of Syrian soldiers were wounded

Syria civil war monitoring NGO Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reportsthat early on Friday, Israel carried out an attack near the Aleppo International Airport, where at least 36 soldiers of the Syrian Armed Forces have been killed and dozens wounded.

According to SOHR, the attack targeted the Lebanese Shia organization Hezbollah's weapons depot near the airport.

Two different security sources told the Reuters news agency that 33 soldiers and civilians and three Hezbollah fighters were killed in the Israeli attack.

The Syrian state news agency Sana also reports on the Israeli attack, in which several soldiers and civilians have been killed and wounded. Sana did not immediately specify the number of victims.

SOHR's ​​information has been found to be reliable. The organization operates from Britain, but it has had an extensive information sharing network since the early stages of the civil war that started in Syria in the spring of 2011.
