Microsoft will release a new version of the antivirus built into Windows. About it informs edition of GizChina.
Journalists refer to social media users who found screenshots of the updated program to protect against hacker attacks. Based on the images, the company has begun testing Microsoft Defender with Insiders.
The new application, codenamed GibraltarApp, is built using XAML and WPF technologies. Also in the product description it says that the new version of the antivirus promises “seamless and personalized protection.”
The message does not specify when the public release of the new application will take place. At the same time, journalists drew attention to the fact that the new generation OS contains the same antivirus that is in Windows 10. Since major updates to the operating system usually occur in May, the authors believe that the new version of Microsoft Defender will be presented no earlier than spring-summer 2022 …
