The British authorities confirm the acquisition of Nuance by Microsoft.
One of the leading companies for the development of artificial intelligence, Nuance, officially belongs to Microsoft, after the acquisition for 19.7 billion dollars. After almost a year of bureaucracy, the official status arrives, with the green light decreed by the English authorities.
Obviously Nuance will give full support to Microsoft in all its aspects, but it is impossible not to mention the gaming division that could boast new and revolutionary behavioral routines in the development of new titles. As is usually the case in these cases, the company will remain fairly free to act, with CEO Mark Benjamin retaining his post but reporting directly to Microsoft Cloud and AI executive vice president Scott Guthrie.
Most of the work will therefore revolve around cloud technology, with benefits made available to all components of the company. This successful acquisition bodes well for Activision-Blizzard’s much more expensive one, which shouldn’t have any kind of problem anyway.
