The great distribution of Michelin stars facing 2025 has taken place in Murcia. There, at a gala held on the night of this Tuesday, November 26, the new three stars, two and onewhich represent entry to the ‘gastronomic Olympus’ of the chosen restaurants.
These are added to those that already had this insignia from previous years, and constitute the great novelty in the sector, which awakens all kinds of rumors and previous speculations. While in the 2024 edition, held in Barcelona, there were two new three stars and more new features, finally this time the Michelin Guide has decided that in its 2025 edition there will be these awards:
A new three Michelin stars 2025
Until now, there were 15 restaurants with three Michelin stars, the highest distinction of the French guide. Last year, Barcelona’s Enjoy and Noor from Córdoba made their debut at this level. At the Murcia gala, where the winners of the 2025 Michelin stars were announced, a new namejust one, to the ‘Olympus’ of gastronomics.
It is about Martial House. Located in a small village in Asturias, it is run by Nacho and Esther Manzano.
It was also announced that the 15 who already had it in Spain, also they keep it in the next edition of the Guide: Abac, Akelarre, Aponiente, Arzak, Atrio, Azurmendi, Cocina Hermanos Torres, Cenador de Amós, Enjoy, Quique Dacosta, DiverXO, El Celler de Can Roca, Martín Berasategui, Lasarte and Noor.
New two Michelin stars 2025
A total of 32 Spanish restaurants have so far displayed their two Michelin stars on the façade of their premises. At the gala held in Murcia on November 26, 2024, it was announced which ones will be added to this list with two ‘macarons’ for the 2025 edition of the guide:
Levantelocated in Chiclana de la Frontera (Cádiz), from the chef Angel Lionwhich has another three stars in its Aponiente, from El Puerto de Santa María. Run by chefs Cristian Rodríguez and Alan Iglesias, it operates at the Sancti Petri Gran Meliá hotel.
The other new two star is Lú Cocina y Almaby Jualu Fernández, in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz).
The third establishment distinguished this year with two Michelin stars is Retiro da Costiñain Santa Comba (La Coruña), in the hands of the chef Manuel García.
These kitchens “represent exceptional cuisine,” which reflects talent, effort and work, according to the publication. Because of this, “travelers go out of their way to visit them,” he adds.

Regarding the section of ‘recommended restaurants’ in the Guide, the first listing for a local in this publication, there are now 752 new ones, with 86 new ones.
The Ours awards are the special awards awarded each year by Michelin in different sections: dining room, young chef, sommelier and mentor chef.
