Sinaloa.- the 80th anniversary of the Red Cross in Culiacán is approaching, and on the occasion of this memorable date, the administration of the meritorious institution is preparing some activities for the event what will it take held on May 16date on which 80 years of having the benefit of having the help and good services of such a noble institution are fulfilled.
Erik Montoya González, administrator of the Red Cross, announced that they are also carrying out preparations for the celebration of the Day of the Socorrista for June 24.

The official revealed that this date is the Day of the Socorrista and awards and medals of honor and perseverance will be awarded to the members of the institution. On the other hand, he announced that the Red Cross, which provides service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, has trained personnel and there are 367 that make up all the areas; Of that amount, he indicated that there are 269 in voluntary operations and 93 in paid operations, including doctors, nurses and first responders.

The administrator congratulates all the staff, especially the lifeguards who dedicate themselves day by day to such noble work and who, despite the covid-19 pandemic, continue to bring help when the institution’s service is required. On the other hand, Montoya González called on society not to let the institution contribute, since with it the Red Cross provides more services.
