Mexican immigration intercepts almost 2,000 illegal immigrants in a single day

According to figures from the National Migration Institute of Mexico, about 2,000 undocumented migrants were intercepted in a single day. In addition, between January and August of this year, Mexico registered a record migratory flow with 147,000 undocumented people who were detected by the authorities, triple what was registered in 2020.
