According to the agency, the man was an active user of various “destructive” Telegram channels. At the same time, the detainee said that even while serving in the Armed Forces of Belarus, he had mastered shooting skills well and was ready to perform the most radical tasks.
The Investigative Committee also stressed that mercenarism in Belarus is a criminally punishable act.
Earlier, the DPR court sentenced foreign mercenaries who fought on the side of Ukraine to death. Among them were 48-year-old Briton Sean Pinner and his 28-year-old compatriot Aiden Aslin, as well as 21-year-old Moroccan Saadoun Brahim. Foreigners were found guilty of mercenarism, forcible seizure of power, as well as the commission of a crime by a group of persons.
