Bloomberg: Mercedes isn’t ready to go all-electric by 2030
The automaker Mercedes has decided not yet to abandon the creation of cars with gasoline engines. The company is not ready to completely switch to electric vehicles by 2030, writes Bloomberg.
The company will make familiar cars as long as there is demand for them. So the planned green transformation may take longer than expected, stated CEO Ola Källenius. This decision is due to a drop in demand for premium electric models, in particular the EQS and EQE.
In the car market, Mercedes is not the only company that has changed its plans. Recently, Cadillac also announced that it is not ready to abandon gasoline engines until the end of the decade. The reason is the same – falling demand for electric cars.
