“I have no words,” he reacted very excited after crossing the checkered flag. “In the last fifteen laps I felt a lot of emotion, I thought about my father (who died in 2017), who gave everything for me to be here. I dreamed of him racing here and winning, it’s incredible,” he added.
Montoya and Monaco
Montoya won in 2003 on that emblematic route, beating McLaren’s Kimi Räikkönen and Ferrari’s Michael Schumacherwho completed the podium.
That was the second victory on his account since he arrived in the world of Formula 1 in 2001.
