Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev expressed condolences to the colleagues, family and friends of Artur Chilingarov. This is reported by TASS.
According to him, the death of the deputy was a loss for the entire country. Medvedev called Chilingarov an outstanding scientist and a true patriot.
State Duma deputy Artur Chilingarov died at the age of 85. The death of the polar explorer became known on the evening of June 1.
