Engine running
Less than a month after the start of the pre-season tests in Bahrain, scheduled for 21 to 23 February, the McLaren team has given the first ignition to the MCL38, the car created by the Woking team which will be officially presented in two weeks, February 14th.
The historic British team, highly anticipated by observers after the impressive leap forward made in the second half of last season, has published on its official Twitter/X social channel the audio of the Mercedes V6 turbo-hybrid engine that will be mounted on the papaya car .
Hunt for Red Bull
No video, as Mercedes itself had done at the end of 2023, but a 'simple' audio capable of immediately arousing strong emotions in McLaren enthusiasts and supporters, who have been waiting since 2008 for the chance to finally return to competing for the title.
Among other things, McLaren can boast one of the strongest driver pairs in the Circus, made up of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, both secured by the team directed by Andrea Stella for the foreseeable future with extremely important contract renewals. The hunt for Red Bull in Woking has begun.
