Bucaramanga won 1-0 Santa Fe in the first leg of the final of the first Colombian soccer tournament of the year, but the end of the game was not the best, as the Santander fans took to the field.

“At the end of the game, as everyone saw, the field was invaded and the logistics people behaved badly and attacked several of us from Santa Fe, the managers especially, they attacked us with pushes and grabbed us by the legs,” said the Cardinal President.
“Those people go into the field just to hurt us. I’m not going to take risks. Santa Fe is not going to take risks,” Méndez said.
Due to the above, the Mayor of Bucaramanga, Jaime Andrés Beltráncame forward and put these statements in his personal X account.
“I respectfully ask the president of Santa Fe, Eduardo Mendez, to reconsider this decision. In Bucaramanga, the safety of the Bogotá team delegation and its fans was guaranteed since their arrival in the city. There are hundreds of Atlético Bucaramanga fans who already have tickets purchased for the game in Bogota with the hope of accompanying the team, just as more than 1,000 Santa Fe fans did in Bucaramanga. The celebration of football must be shared, just as it happened in our stadium,” Beltrán reported.
However, Santa Fe has not taken action on the matter, so the president of Bucaramanga sent a message to his counterpart in Bogotá, Carlos Galan.
“Dear Mayor @CarlosFGalan, I appeal to your collaboration as the first district authority, so that the decision of the @SantaFe directives to not admit @Abucaramanga fans to Campín in the second leg is reconsidered.”,
