Massimiliano Allegri is no longer the Juventus coach. No thanks to the technician. Agnelli wouldn’t have done it…Juve style?
Massimiliano Allegri, 56 years old, from Livorno, is no longer the coach of Juventus.
The Juventus management decided to sack the coach, who had another year on his contract, following the controversial episodes in the Italian Cup final. Among the reasons, “certain behaviors, carried out during and after the Italian Cup final, which the club deemed not compatible with the values of Juventus and with the behavior that those who represent it must adopt”.
Former president Andrea Agnelli, who strongly wanted Allegri at Juventus both in 2014 and 2021, greets the coach on social media
An extraordinarily unique mix: pride and humanity that continually merge during a ten-year journey. Thanks Max, thanks to you who represented being Juventus with every cell of yours. Until the end…

The hope is that Allegri’s merits, not just technical ones, will be recognised, as Lawyer Agnelli would have done. So far it has not been a civil and elegant divorce, in “Juve style”. In the press release there is no thanks for the titles won during the two managements, not even the last Italian Cup….
The second mandate of the Tuscan coach therefore ends, and not well, in mutual respect: 2 cycles for a total management of 8 years, 420 benches, 12 trophies.
The coach from Livorno is the only coach in the history of Italian football to have won five consecutive Scudetti, 6 Italian Cups, including four in a row, 2 super cups, 2 Champion’s League finals.
It is right to criticize the coaches, who earn too much, but with the Tuscan the “friendly fire” was exaggerated, forgetting that the Bianconeri were, by far, inferior to Inzaghino’s Inter. And they won the Italian Cup, qualifying for the Champion’s League.
The confirmation that Max would leave Turin came on the pitch at the Olimpico on Wednesday: the distancing of Giuntoli, the anti-Max sports director, from the embraces between the protagonists of the success, verbally first (“out, out!”) and then with equally clear gestures. A dramatic testimony to a relationship, to be always, difficult between the two, both Tuscan, but never friends….
There were many reactions from fans of the Old Lady on social media. Emasco: “Giuntoli must take the burden of his actions: we kicked out Allegri, after 8 years and 12 trophies, as if he were any Ranieri, he would have deserved to greet the Juventus people at the stadium. We were going to move on, but with 2 days to go it makes no sense….”.
