Insomniac Games she doesn’t seem to be worried about the news leaks which he has undergone in recent months and currently has no plans to officially present Marvel’s Wolverine, its next PS5 exclusive title. As you may recall, the game was announced almost three years ago with a CG video, but nothing of the gameplay or other aspects of the production has officially been shown yet. Unfortunately for the development studio, with the data theft that occurred last December following a massive ransomware attack, many gameplay sequences ended up online and we have now seen a lot of the game.
Responding to a fan asking for an update on Wolverine, Insomniac responded on X that it will share news “when the time is right, and the right time is not now.” Clear and concise message, which naturally will not put an end to the fans’ heartfelt requests.
Insomniac had already stated in the past that the stolen data would have no influence on the development of the game, despite the “emotional weight” of what happened was felt within the studio.
Sony She herself has not said much about the matter in public, remaining silent. Privately, however, she contacted internet providers in an attempt to block the spread of the stolen files and information. She is also still working to try to plug all the security holes.
Unfortunately so far the efforts have been quite in vain, given that from December to today various materials taken from the game have been published online, including images, videos, information on the characters and enemies and even the potential release year, i.e. 2026.
So, if we were you, we wouldn’t have much hope of seeing the game anytime soon, perhaps imminently PlayStation Showcase of which various rumors speak.
