Marvel Rivals will also receive a closed beta on PS5with the tests taking place starting from July: this is revealed in the new trailer of the game, published by NetEase Games on the occasion of the State of Play.
The video once again places emphasis onhuge amount of Marvel characters available within the game, this time showing Venom in action, with his Symbiote powers, but also the very powerful Hela, some mutants, Guardians of the Galaxy and others.
The trailer reveals the team-up mechanicswhich brings together fighters united by some type of narrative bond to provide them with a strategic advantage during battle.
Excellent feedback so far
We know that there were a lot of registrations for the closed alpha of Marvel Rivals on PC, to the point that the developers had to increase server capacity compared to what were the initial estimates, so there is certainly a great enthusiasm around the game.
In general, the Overwatch-style hero shooter formula applied to the heroes of the Marvel universe seems like a winning card, also and above all due to the extraordinary amount of characters inserted into the game, which will lead to an unprecedented degree of variety for the genre.
For the rest, in terms of mechanics, scenario design, graphic style and dynamism, Marvel Rivals undoubtedly stands as a very interesting project and we are curious to find out how it will be enriched and improved thanks to these early access sessions.
Once the preliminary tests have been completed over the summer, perhaps a launch window for the game will also arrive, which at the moment has not yet been communicated.
