Bagnaia took a stand against the ‘buuuu’
“They are not MotoGP fans“. This is how Alex Marquez defined the ‘supporters’ who booed him probably as a result of the episode that cost Francesco Bagnaia a three-place penalty on the starting grid tomorrow at the start of the Italian GP at Mugello.
Bagnaia himself took sides on the whistling issue after the match: “I don’t like whistles, I didn’t like them in Spain in Barcelona when I was the target and I didn’t like them here towards others. It’s something I can’t control and I hope they decrease. The rest of the crowd was wonderful, the anthem was something magical and even on the grid seeing all these people gave me a great boost.”
Marc Marquezsecond at the finish line, admitted that the change of bike compared to the past has somewhat attenuated the booing of the Italian public: “Let’s say I went from an 80-20 to a 50-50, being a Ducati rider helps” declared the Spaniard who confirms himself as a great protagonist in the fight for the world title.
