Red Bull 2025, Marko dismantles Tsunoda
In the beginning it was Daniel Ricciardo dreaming of Red Bull. However, the Australian's performances between the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024 did not convince the leaders of Milton Keynes, who could even think of a sensational change if theHoney Badger did not increase in performance.
Ricciardo was also beaten at home – in the Australian GP – by a Yuki Tsunoda in great form, capable of entering Q3 for the second time in a row, of scoring the first six points of the season and perhaps earning the ranks of captain within the team, although #3 has a much more interesting CV. Could the Japanese therefore take away his RB teammate's dream of promotion to Red Bull in 2025? Helmut Marko he doesn't seem to agree.
Marko's words
“Every lap was competitive and he didn't make any mistakes, he was calm. But, as they say, one swallow does not make a summer“, these were the Austrian's words after the Albert Park match. “It needs to improve further before it can be considered in this sense“.
Sergio Perez, who achieved two podiums in the first two races of the World Championship, could enjoy the fight between the two contenders. In Melbourne, however, the first signs of a driver who tends to “fall asleep” in the central part of the season and of not knowing how to adapt to a car that inevitably goes in the Verstappen direction with the first developments arrived. If these creaks were to be followed by other very disappointing results, the chances of a contract renewal for Perez would become miniscule.
