Mario Strikers: Battle League Football will be launched for Nintendo Switch Friday 10 June but players eager to hone their shooting skills will be able to do so even before that date.
Through a press release, Nintendo announced the demo event Mario Strikers: Battle League Football First Kick is now available for free download on Nintendo eShop and includes access to exciting online team battles, available on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th Juneas well as a training mode to learn the basics and allow players to engage in pre-season “friendly” clashes to present themselves at their best at the beginning of the season.
Nintendo also announced that the full game will receive free updates after launch, including new characters. In the meantime, you can watch the video Mario Strikers: Battle League Football – Overview, to see all the ways in which players can hit, electrocute and hit opponents with a flying kick to fight their way to victory.
The Mario Strikers: Battle League Football First Kick tutorial mode, available now for existing Nintendo Switch Online subscription holders, and from June 2nd also for players taking part in the Nintendo Switch Online 7-day free trial, teaches players all the basics – shooting, passing and tackling – plus more advanced moves and skills. Once players get used to the controls, they will be ready to get involved and face other budding attackers online on Saturday 4th June and Sunday 5th June at the times listed below:

From Thursday 2 June at 12 noon, players without an existing Nintendo Switch Online subscription can request a 7-day free trial, even if they’ve used the option in the past. This not only grants access to the Mario Strikers: Battle League Football First Kick demo event, but players can also experience a week with all the benefits that the Nintendo Switch Online membership has to offer, including access to a library of over 100 NES and Super NES titles, online play with compatible titles, cloud saves and more.
