Paris.- Marco Verde lost to Uzbek Asadkhuja Muydinkhujaev in the 71-kilogram boxing final, thus winning the silver medal.
Mexico has not won a gold medal at the Olympic Games since the men’s soccer competition in London 2012.
Verde’s Silver medal joins the Mexican Delegation in Paris’ haul of five medals (three Silver and two Bronze).
