His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that the UAE leadership attaches great importance to supporting citizens in various economic sectors, especially the labor market, and is keen to provide opportunities to enhance the contribution of Emirati cadres, and raise the rates of their presence in the private sector, noting that the Emirati Competitiveness Council seeks Through an integrated set of programs and initiatives to qualify Emirati competencies and energies to raise their competitiveness in the country’s growing labor market.
His Highness said: The Emirati Cadres Competitiveness Council, in cooperation with all strategic partners, is working to increase the objectives of Emiratisation in the sector and create more job opportunities in various sectors in the country. level.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Muhammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, His Excellency Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, His Excellency Hessa bint Issa Bu Humaid, Minister of Community Development, His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, and His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Abdulmanan Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation; Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Small and Medium Enterprises; , members of the Board of Directors, and Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Council for the Competitiveness of Emirati Cadres.
During the meeting, the data achieved during the last stage were discussed, as the figures showed that the total number of new citizens joining the private sector since the launch of “NAFES” in September 2021 amounted to 5558, while the number of companies that appointed new employees increased to 1774 companies.
The numbers observed on the Nafes platform indicate that the number of citizens registered on the platform and eligible to benefit from the Nafes initiatives reached 25,876, and that the number of vacancies on the platform reached 2,524 jobs, while the number of beneficiaries increased to 4,074 people.
On the importance of the achieved numbers, Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Emirati Competitiveness Council, stressed that reaching 5,500 jobs in the private sector reflects the confidence of citizens in this program, and stresses its importance in opening up job prospects for job seekers.
Al Mazrouei said: Our goal is to provide suitable jobs for citizens in the private sector, and during the past months and since the launch of the program, there has been a demand from citizens to join work in the private sector and increase opportunities to benefit from programs and initiatives, which confirms the importance of the program as a platform that connects citizens looking for work and sector companies. This number is the first step in the success ladder of Nafees, and we are preparing for new steps, in cooperation with our partners, that contribute to dedicating the pioneering role of the program in achieving the aspirations of citizens and giving them the opportunity to work in jobs that are compatible with their capabilities, talents and competencies, and increase their presence As a qualified workforce capable of meeting the requirements of future jobs, in line with the next stage and the development witnessed by the country in all fields.
Al Mazrouei added: Our wise leadership believes that the human being is the most precious wealth for the nation, and provides him with everything that contributes to enhancing his capabilities and raising his efficiency, and is keen to give citizens a decent life that suits them, through jobs that are consistent with their capabilities, and provide them with financial and social security, which is reflected Positively on society as a whole, and achieve well-being and happiness for the people of the Emirates.

The second package of initiatives included four training programmes, including: the Competencies Program, which works to develop the competencies of national cadres and develop their specialized competencies to obtain international professional certificates, and the Nursing Sector Cadres Development Program, which aims to develop national competencies in the field of nursing through Paid scholarships, through the Health Assistant Program for High School Graduates, the Diploma/Higher Diploma in Emergency Medicine, and the Bachelor’s Program in Nursing, which aims to qualify and empower 10,000 citizens in the health sector over the next five years, in addition to the “Experience Program,” a training program that reaches Duration of up to 12 months with financial rewards in private and semi-governmental companies to support the development of Emirati graduates’ experiences in various sectors, and the “Career Guidance Program” which provides career guidance and guidance services that help discover suitable skills, opportunities and career paths, in addition to providing guides For CV writing, interviewing basics and work ethic.
The Emirati Cadres Competitiveness Council has held many partnerships with the federal and local authorities concerned with the program, with the aim of supporting “Nafis” and implementing the training programs included in the initiatives, most notably the UAE University, the Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy and the Center for Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT), which is the commercial, research and training arm. The Higher Colleges of Technology, as well as Fatima College of Health Sciences, affiliated with the Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET), and the Federal Youth Foundation, in addition to many private and semi-private companies that fit the program criteria.
Efficiency Boost
Within the framework of “Nafis” goals to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of national cadres, two packages of initiatives were launched within the “50 projects,” the first in September 2021, and the second in March 2022. The first package included several financial support programs, including the “citizens’ salaries support” program, which is a support The government pays the salaries of citizens wishing to work in the private sector, and the “Mazaya Program”, which is a fixed financial allowance for the citizen employee in some targeted specializations, in addition to a “subscription program”, through which the government bears the pension fund contributions, and “the allowances for the children of workers in the sector.” The private sector, through which a government allowance is allocated to the children of citizens working in the private sector, in addition to the “Temporary Support Program”, which is temporary financial support to search for a job in cases of job loss in the private sector, as well as the “Job Opportunities Program”, where a platform is provided to publish Jobs and linking Emirati nationals to job opportunities in the private sector.
