Manor Lords is coming next week, but the development team already needs to include a major fix: weaken the sheepor rather limit the value of their wool.
Let's take a step back. Manor Lords is a medieval-themed city-builder in which it is possible – among the thousand options – to raise sheep and sell the wool obtained from them. The problem is that players quickly discovered that it's possible, with a few dozen sheep and a trait that helps increase their numbers through breeding, generate so much wool that you become rich beyond measure.
The developer wrote via Twitter that he doesn't “personally” have a problem with “infinite money” obtained through this trick, but he received so many reports about it that he finally decided to put a stop to the situation. With a new updateManor Lords will have a feature that cancels the sales value of a product when there are too many units of it.
The consequences of the fix for Manor Lords
This fix actually makes sense not only on a gameplay level (it would get boring if you quickly have infinite money) but also on a gameplay level. realism: if the market were saturated with wool, the sales value would drop as no one would need it.
Furthermore, as indicated by the author, this change means that they can be added to Manor Lords in the future random events that change the value of a certain product, so as to make trade less predictable.
Finally, we remind you that we have already tried Manor Lords.
