A man was shot dead this afternoon in the Azteca neighborhood; two women who were passing by were injured.
The attack occurred on Tlahuicas and Nahualtecos streets in the west of the city. The victim, a man of approximately 35 years of age, was left lying face down in the middle of the dirt road.
Two women who were passing by, a mother and a 12-year-old daughter, were injured at the time of the attack and were taken by private vehicle to the Santa María clinic.
The 12-year-old girl has one of the gunshot wounds in the abdomen and is reported to be in stable condition, according to an investigator from the Northern District Prosecutor’s Office.
This is the first intentional homicide in the month of August.
