A 44-year-old man was arrested around 4am this Thursday, the 23rd, after trying to leave a nightclub in Moema, south of São Paulo, without paying, claiming to be a police chief. He was driving a car that he stated was an unmarked Civil Police vehicle, a gray Mercedes-Benz model E 63, armored, with a siren and lighting device. He was also armed and wearing a fake Civil Police badge, according to the Public Security Secretariat.
During the argument outside the nightclub, employees called the Military Police. The man, whose name was not released, left before the police arrived, but was located on Avenida Ibirapuera.
When approached, he was aggressive and tried to prevent the police from searching the vehicle. Contained, the search was carried out and the police located a 9 mm pistol, 36 rounds of ammunition, two badges, a pair of handcuffs, a holster and a magazine holder.
The man ended up hurting his forehead and was taken to the Jabaquara Emergency Care Unit (UPA), in the south zone.
The case was registered at the 27th DP (Campo Belo) as illegal possession or possession of a restricted firearm. The circumstances will be investigated.
