Majority Teton Plus it is a soundbar with attached subwoofer that I have had the pleasure of trying in every single aspect in recent days. The company has already been the subject of many reviews on our site, so by now you will know it very well too, so let's start the review right away.
Unboxing and features
Majority Teton Plus will arrive with very substantial and well-studied packaging. Inside you will find the following items well protected:
- Soundbar10.2cm x 81.2cm x 9.6cm;
- Subwoofer15.0cm x 28.0cm x 38.2cm;
- remote control for remote control;
The specifications are particularly interesting: to begin with, the system allows different configurations which are USB, HDMI ARC, AUX or Bluetooth. On the right side of the main unit there will be analog buttons that will allow you to control the unit without the remote control, connecting to the sub it will be established wirelessly and immediately so you won't have to worry about it.
The power of the Majority Teton Plus is 180W, the speaker is 2.1 and the design it is well designed and able to be cleverly inserted at the base of the TV.
Majority Teton Plus, the field test
Let's start from the basics, Majority thought to exploit wisely the LED on your soundbar to help us better understand in which mode we are using the tool:
So it will be extremely easy to understand what the soundbar is handling. Having said that, adjusting the modes with the remote control is undoubtedly the most convenient choice in Majority Teton Plus, but the command is not always taken immediately making its use often exploitative, unless you still point at the precise point where the sensor is located.
Still speaking of the remote control, it is possible to take advantage of various presets that have been designed to optimize the use of sound for films, voices and music. After several tests I came to some conclusions.
The music mode tries to provide a balanced mix between bass and treble, managing more or less to improve listening. The one that involves the dialogues ends up increasing the voice compared to the rest, a bit like what happens in the film mode with the difference that in the second you work more on the bass. Adjusting the bass and treble is obviously also possible manually.
Overall usage of the Majority Teton Plus is decent. The power of 180W makes itself felt, but obviously you can't expect cinema levels. In general I found the bass to be too bright and I was unable to adjust it in such a way as to obtain a satisfactory result.
The thing that left me most disappointed was definitely the mids: far too bland to satisfy my ear. Let's be clear, it's a big step forward compared to audio that your TV or monitor can give you, but it is certainly not of the highest level.
The positioning of the diver is very important, and being able to find the right place for him makes the difference. However, we are talking about an overall economical kit and for this price it is definitely an excellent product.
I mainly had the opportunity to test the HDMI mode, but I couldn't resist trying the others too. I strongly advise against it to use this tool in AUX modeas during silences the classic dull interference noise will be heard.
Finally, I would like to spend a few words relating to the Bluetooth mode, which, as long as you can connect the sound, works very well, offering an excellent alternative for anyone want to listen to their music while doing housework.
