Sheikh Majid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Chairman of the Department of Tourism and Antiquities in Umm Al Quwain, attended the Visual Arts Forum organized by the Umm Al Quwain Creative Center entitled “Innovators from the Emirates”, to showcase the creativity and artistic skills of young people. The forum was also attended by Muhammad Issa Al Kashf and Mona Rashid Tahnoun, members of the National Council. Al-Ittihadi, Haitham Sultan Al Ali, Director General of the Department of Tourism and Antiquities in Umm Al Quwain, and representatives of institutions and departments in the emirate.
Sheikh Majid bin Saud inspected the exhibition in which 11 young Emirati artists participated, displaying 50 diverse artistic works, including plastic arts, about the Emirati cultural and heritage environment, in addition to a display of photos, and special offers on design and printing.
Sheikh Majid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Chairman of the Department of Tourism and Antiquities in Umm Al Quwain, stressed that artistic exhibitions and forums that embrace Emirati talent contribute to enhancing the creative and cultural production of the UAE, and work to create a sustainable creative environment that contributes to empowering youth talent and supporting their artistic and cultural orientations.
Sheikh Majid appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Culture and Youth in its support of young artists and intellectuals, and its constant keenness to launch initiatives that highlight their talents and creativity, and introduce the public to their artistic works through various channels.
Sheikh Majid said: Art exhibitions are characterized by being platforms for cultural communication and the exchange of artistic experiences through artists meeting with each other, exchanging cultural and creative experiences, and learning about the world of art in its various types, in addition to the support these platforms provide in developing the knowledge of young creatives and developing their skills. At the conclusion of the forum, Sheikh Majid honored the young artists participating in the forum.
For his part, Abdullah Ali Bu Osaiba, Director of the Umm Al Quwain Creative Center, said that the forum focused on presenting the creative production of young people in the field of visual arts and providing them with the opportunity to display their talents, capabilities and skills to various segments of society.
He added that the forum aimed to enhance creativity and cultural production in the field of young cultural and creative industries.
