French President Emmanuel Macron believes that as a result of a trip to Moscow and negotiations with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, he achieved the main goal of his tour. Writes about it Reuters.
The politician said that he managed to get a promise from Putin not to provoke further escalation in Ukraine. At the same time, Macron did not expect that his colleague “would be ready to make any gestures [касательно украинского кризиса]”.
The talks between the leaders of the two countries were held in the Kremlin on February 7 and lasted more than five hours. As a result, Putin said that the meeting with Macron was held in a businesslike manner, it was meaningful and useful.
