New circuits open to explore Machu Picchu this 2024

The incorporation of new circuits will allow a more adequate distribution of tourists within the archaeological site, reducing the environmental impact and preserving historical structures for future generations.

Each visitor will be able to choose their route according to the type of ticket purchased, such as the Machu Picchu Solo ticket, which includes access to various points of interest such as the Huayna Picchu mountain, the Machu Picchu mountain, the Huchuy Picchu mountain, the Intipunku, the Great Cavern , and the Inca Bridge.

Classic Circuit: The Best Option for First Visitors

For those who visit Machu Picchu for the first time, it is recommended to purchase the ‘Classic Circuit’ or ‘Classic Circuit (lower terrace)’ ticket, which allows you to tour Circuit 2.

This circuit is the most complete and covers the main Inca sites such as the Temple of the Sun, the Sacred Plaza, the Temple of the Three Windows and the Intihuatana, among others. The tour takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes and is suitable for visitors of all ages.

Circuit 3, called the Royalty Circuit, allows tourists tour the constructions of the lower part of Machu Picchu, including important religious and royal buildings such as the Temple of the Sun, the House of the Inca, and the Temple of the Condor.

This circuit includes variants that allow you to climb the Huayna Picchu mountain, visit the Great Cavern or the Huchuy Picchu mountain, providing a diverse and complete experience for those seeking to deepen their exploration.
