Lula and Janja will spend New Year’s Eve in a hotel

the president elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) and his wife, Rosângela da Silva, known as Janja, will spend New Year’s Eve at the hotel where they are staying in the center of Brasília. The petista will be accompanied by some family members, friends and closest advisors.

The strong security scheme set up in the capital for the PT’s inauguration was one of the reasons that led the PT’s team to opt for a smaller and simpler celebration.

Lula spent Saturday at the site, where he received supporters, such as the future Minister of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha (PT), and now has the company of his children.

Lurian Cordeiro Lula da Silva, daughter of Lula, posted videos on her social media of people chanting the phrases “Hello, hello, hello, hello. squid, squid on the flight he took to the federal capital.

Supporters of the future president also spent the day in front of the hotel where he is staying. In 2 moments, the petista greeted people directly from the hotel window. Janja joined him in greeting.

Lula is preparing for the inauguration ceremony, which will take place this Sunday (1.Jan.2023).

He will leave the hotel for the Metropolitan Cathedral of Brasília, where he is still evaluating whether he will board the presidential Rolls-Royce for the parade along the Esplanada dos Ministérios. As the car is open, there are still doubts whether Lula will be able to use it or whether he will cover the route in an armored vehicle.

The Rolls-Royce was used in the inauguration general rehearsal held on Friday (Dec.29, 2022).
