Luis Romo was one of the protagonists of the Liga MX winter market. In an unexpected operation, the midfielder left Cruz Azul and arrived in Monterrey in exchange for Carlos Rodríguez. The 26-year-old footballer has already played his first minutes with the Machine. In an interview with Multimedios, the player revealed a talk with Víctor Manuel Vucetich prior to his arrival in the Sultana del Norte.
Romo indicated that “King Midas” made a phone call to congratulate him on his decision to arrive in Monterrey. The experienced and technical winner mentioned that Rayados is a better team than most in Europe.
“He marked me and told me: ‘you did very well’. Monterrey is much better than any team in Europe, well, except the big ones, but it is much better than all the others so it will be very good. A great city to you, for the family and your children, he made himself available for whatever he needed. Very grateful to him, that a person like him with all his career and achievements expresses himself in this way and makes himself available to you makes you happy and I will always be thankful for that”
