Although the Colombian Boxing Federation reported the death of boxer Luis Quiñones On Thursday night, the General Clinic of the North, in Barranquilla, denied that information.

“Unfortunately he lost that battle, we express our most sincere condolences to his entire family. Peace in his grave and resignation to the designs of God,” said the Federation statement, which was immediately picked up by the country’s media.
However, sources from the medical center assured that the athlete is still fighting for his life, although his general condition is critical. An official statement from the clinic is expected in the next few minutes.
The Barranquilla newspaper ‘El Heraldo’ reported that Quiñones he was declared brain dead this Thursday afternoon.
