Vacations are over for Colombian Luis Díaz. After enjoying the rest in his homeland (Barrancas, Guajira) and in Barranquilla, this Monday he joined Liverpool, with many goals ahead of him.
After the first days of exams and physical work, Liverpool will have their first two pre-season games next week: on July 12 they will face Manchester United in Bangkok (Thailand) and three days later, Crystal Palace, in Singapore.
Later, on July 21, they will face RB Leipzig and Salzburg of Austria in 45 minutes, at the former’s home.

Community Shield, the first official tournament
On July 30, the first official match is scheduled, the confrontation against Manchester City for the Community Shield, the first title of the season.
The ‘Reds’ are already working at the AXA Training Center to prepare for the upcoming season. Luis Díaz, one of those who already said he was present on the campus after spending his vacations visiting Junior and playing on the fields of La Guajira, where the talent of the left winger was born.
After fighting until the last moment for the Premier League and the Champions League, in which they finished second, Liverpool wants to improve on what was done in the 2021/22 season and dreams of achieving those important results in European competitions.
Luis Díaz will be a fundamental axis due to the departure of Sadio Mané, and Jürgen Klopp is eager for him to start seeing the new trident in action with the Colombian on the left, the Uruguayan Darwin Núñez as central attacker and Mohamed Salah on the right.
Liverpool breathe easy after Salah renewal
The Egyptian, one of the doubts of last season’s auction, has already given his followers peace of mind by renewing a “long-term” contract, as announced by the club, without giving details of its duration.
“I feel very happy and excited to be able to win trophies with the club. It’s a happy day for everyone.” Salah said after signing his new bond.
In addition to the arrival of Núñez, Liverpool hired Scottish defender Calvin Ramsey, from Aberdeen, to fight Trent Alexander-Arnold for the full-back position, and Portuguese midfielder Fabio Carvalho, who arrives from Fulham.
About the start of the pre-season, Liverpool spoke yesterday on social media: “Liverpool players return for testing on the first day of the season. Several Reds reported to the AXA Training Center and were evaluated by the club’s medical staff throughout the day.

Liverpool worked with 19 players. Jürgen Klopp’s team gave rest to Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Diogo Jota and Darwin Núñez. In the next few days they will arrive with a view to the Asian tour and the Community Shield on July 30.
