Abraham Mateo, Nil Moliner, David Otero, Marlena, Los Rebeldes and Seguridad Social head the line-up of free concerts that will fill Alcantarilla with music from May 17 to 26, as announced yesterday by the mayor, Joaquín Buendía, during the presentation of the programming for the festivities, together with the president of the Federation of Peñas, Juan Sornichero, and the elder brother of the Brotherhood of the Virgin of Health, Diego Guzmán.
Buendía pointed out that “during these ten days Alcantarilla offers activities for all tastes and for all ages, with street music, gastronomy, orchard huts, children's fair, parade, offering of flowers to the Virgin of Health, parade and burning of the Witch and, to close the festivities, like every year, the procession of the Patrona.
At the presentation party, which was held last night in Plaza Adolfo Suárez, the musical group Indiscretos, a Spanish pop, rock and indie cover band, performed live and Estrella de Levante offered a beer tasting.

The large free concerts will all be in the Recinto de Fiestas, a space with capacity for 8,000 people, and begin with Abraham Mateo on Saturday the 18th, after the winner of the Bruja Pop model contest. On Thursday the 23rd Los Rebeldes and Seguridad Social perform and at The next day, Friday the 24th, another double concert by Marlena and David Otero. On Saturday the 25th, after the float parade, it is Nil Moliner's turn. The festivities begin with the queens' election gala on Friday the 17th at the festival grounds. The housewives association organizes the night of bread and the great buñuelada, with distribution of bread with oil, bread with sobrasada and buñuelos, and the City Council distributes free paella on Friday the 24th from 2 p.m. on Martínez Campos Avenue. The events in honor of the patron saint of Alcantarilla begin on May 1 with the transfer of the Virgin of Health to the Agua Salá hermitage, and on Saturday the 18th she returns in a pilgrimage to the Church of San Pedro.
