The former director of Íñigo Errejón’s Cabinet and still a representative of Más Madrid, Loreto Arenillas, has notified her party his medical leaveas they have explained from their party.
Grits He was absent again this Thursday from the Plenary Session of the Assemblythe second in a row since the Errejón case broke out. After the scandal, she was accused of “mediating with a victim” and Más Madrid removed her from her organic positions and required her record.
This Friday marks three weeks since Arenillas reported in a statement that would withdraw from training and would deliver his minutes. However, it has failed to do so and has strained the relationship with the party, which insists on referring to this commitment.
The Board has not received notification of this sick leave, according to Assembly sources, who understand that it could only inform itself and not the parliamentary group. This is relevant, since Arenillas, if he did not attend the next plenary session, would be incurring a “infringement for failure to fulfill the duties of deputies”.
It is article 33 of the Chamber’s Regulations that states that failing to attend three consecutive or five non-consecutive days to the Plenary Session or committees in the same period of sessions “without justification for doing so and without the deputy having been replaced” will be an infringement. If Arenillas were to fall into this situation, she could be sanctioned by removing her a proportional part of your salary and suspending her from part of her rights as a deputy.
The spokesperson for Más Madrid, Manuela Bergerot, when asked this Thursday at noon if there was news about Arenillas, indicated that the last thing she knew was the statement from 20 days ago in which “she said she was going to leave the minutes and she has not kept her word so far.”
«You can imagine that in the leadership of the Más Madrid Parliamentary Group, when faced with the communication of a person who publicly says in a statement that he is going to deliver his minutes, our responsibility is reorganize the parliamentary group so that none of our commissions cease to be able to confront the worst policies of the Popular Party of Spain, which are the Popular Party of Madrid,” Bergerot added.
Likewise, the party asked the Board this week to move its seat, located in the second row of the Más Madrid bench, and they would place it in the last and at the far right of it.
