“To reach all generations: daughters, mothers and grandmothers. This is the objective of ‘They are not all the same’, a national campaign to inform about treatment and life paths, different for each woman. To raise awareness of breast cancer , but above all to say that not all tumors are the same, a multimedia campaign was needed that involves all women, of any age: young girls who go to concerts, who think that prevention is not a problem that concerns them, adult women and elderly, therefore mothers and grandmothers thanks to a social media plan” and to a monologue performed by the actress Lucia Ocone at the opening of the concerts of the Pinguini Tattici Nucleari, in Rome (10 May) and Milan (17 May). This was said by Democratic Party senator Beatrice Lorenzin, in her speech on the occasion of the presentation – today in Rome – of the national awareness campaign ‘They are not all the same. Breast cancer and life paths’, a social initiative promoted by MSD Italia.
“When women stop undergoing routine check-ups because they make mistakes in menopause – warns Lorenzin – they think they are always fine. Here, it is absolutely necessary to dispel these false myths and prejudices. We must take care of ourselves, always, never postpone a visit or an exam. But, above all, we must become caregivers for all other women.”
