Lobato seeks its lace in the new PSOE despite the “loss of confidence”

The Socialist Exportvaz went to the last plenary session of the Assembly, after his commented absence the previous week only a few days after the regional PSOE Congress embraced Sanchismo with Minister López in front. Lobato arrived at ten o’clock, just at the start of the session, accompanied by Carlos Moreno, one of the trusted men when he led the group. It has been relegated to the second row of the socialist seats, also displaced by the spokesman of the executive of López, Javier Guardiola, with whom he did not exchange or half a word throughout the plenary.

Lobato was concentrated in his laptop, he applauded his people when he touched and voted what he had to vote with the rest of his teammates. Total discipline. And you don’t have to expect anything different. But neither is a special cordiality. Lobato, on the other hand, maintains its minutes of regional and senator deputy, yes, but “the loss of total confidence” is a fact, they warn in the socialist group.

The one who was general secretary of the PSOE of Madrid from 2021 until his resignation, last November, faces an uncertain political journey, without the support of his party and with that general loss of confidence among his companions, even among which they were part of its closest nucleus, according to socialist parliamentary sources to ABC. “Who can trust him from now on?” A ranked partner is starkly asks. “He has sentenced his present, but also his future, however uncertain it is.”

Lobato tries to adapt at this stage led by Óscar López, the nth change of the PSOE of Madrid to deal with the hegemony that the PP has maintained in the community for three decades. It has no intention of leading any critical current right now, waiting for the wind of politics to change, it has been made available to its new general secretary and has expressed its willingness to “help” and collaborate in what is needed. Sources close to the former spokesman ensure that the conversation between the group’s management and Lobato has already occurred, to determine the function it will. In the spokeswoman’s team they deny it. In any case, Lobato believed that the best, given its situation as former general secretary and former spokesman, would be part of an ‘institutional’ commission.

Beyond his minutes of regional and senator deputy and the position in the Treasury, Lobato is pending to resolve his political situation within the PSOE, something that closed in false with the crisis that the party lived in November and which resulted in his resignation as general secretary of the Madrid socialists. Before his resignation, when he prepared the Congress of his re -election, he was convinced that his internal support had grown over the 61 percent that he achieved in the primary of 2021.
