“We have very specific help from Lithuania. Let me remind you that the city of Vilnius (the capital of Lithuania) was the first to deliver us Stinger missiles, even before the large-scale invasion,” Reznikov said in a Facebook post.
“Thank you to our friends and partners for their courageous stance,” he added.
Lithuania, one of the three ex-Soviet Baltic republics, is a member of both the European Union and NATO.
On March 15, three heads of government (Poland, Czech and Slovenia) visited Kyiv together and met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the first visit by foreign leaders to Ukraine since Russia began invading its pro-Western neighbor on February 24.
