Mexico City.- Senator Lilly Tellez assured that if she were president of Mexico she would like to impeach President Andrés Manuel López Obrador for being “a serial violator of the Constitution.”
This was stated by the senator of the National Action Party during a conversation on Twitter in which he also said that he does not rule out being a candidate for the presidency of Mexico in upcoming electoral processes.
During her participation, Lilly Téllez recalled that AMLO has committed many omissions as a state leader by pointing out his policy of “hugs not bullets” It was more than clear with the situation that occurred last Tuesday in Caborca, Sonora, where an armed commando entered the city, frightening the population.
“Well, when the president said ‘hugs not bullets’. I thought it was like a slogan to offer peace and tranquility. I didn’t know that they had actually made their agreement there. Now that he has been in government for three years, well, he is in sight of everyone, and we can’t make fools of ourselves”, the senator stated.
In this sense, the former brunette assured that the president Andrés Manuel must be prosecuted for not using force to deal with insecurity, as well as for violating the protection of human rights and freedom of expression, among others.
“Of course he is a serial violator of the Constitution… and we should impeach him, but the president still has jurisdiction, no matter how much he says he can be tried like any citizen, he is lying,” he added.
When questioned about whether she feels capable of being president of Mexico, Lilly Téllez clarified that, although it was not her plan to be in politics, if she were president, the first thing she would do would be to imprison Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
“There is nothing I would like more than put Andrés Manuel López Obrador in jail, to his cabinet and other people”he mentioned.

Téllez pointed out that carrying out this action would not be done as an act of revenge, but as “necessary act of justice” and reiterated that he would like to see “AMLO as the first president behind bars.”
