For a couple of years Elon Musk has become the owner of the platform Twitter now call x, which now simply goes by the name of X, and his first decisions as CEO have not been the best, since people can now get verified in the simplest way possible. However, today a change was launched that some will like and others may not like so much, but that will definitely give a 180° turn to the platform that for years remained the most popular in the world.
As shared on the site’s official support account, now the I like They will be completely private, so users other than a user will not be able to see the posts they have marked with their hearts, something that remains a benefit for the user. Added to this is that the notifications will continue to be present, so the count will continue to be present for those who keep an eye on their own metrics on social networks.

This week we’ll make Likes private for everyone to better protect your privacy:
– You will still be able to see posts you liked (but not others).
– Like counts and other metrics for your own posts will still appear in notifications.
– You will no longer see who liked someone else’s post.
– The author of a post can see who liked their posts.
Although some users liked the decision, there are those who think that this will make the platforms worse and the first disadvantage they see is that tweets will no longer be shared unless people click on the repost button, so those who are becoming influencers will lose reach. For their part, they indicate that the arrival of bots will be much greater, given that without having control of the likes, they will be able to come and go without anyone being able to block them and also report to delete the accounts.

Author’s note: I like that they have implemented this, because they are no longer going to show me likes for things that I don’t even want to have access to. So I find an advantage to this part.
