Light Phone III is not a smartphone, it is simply a cell phone. The same thing that allows you to receive calls, text messages and something else. You will not have applications or social networks and even fewer games. But it has the most minimalist design yet.
An advantage is that the Light Phone III includes a camera and a built-in NFC chip for making payments.
Being a conventional cell phone, it also allows access to navigation tools, a simple music player, text messages, voice notes, a calendar, a timer and an alarm.
Additionally, Light Phone III adds a metal frame with a waterproof and dustproof design, USB-C, fingerprint ID, a flashlight, 5G, and a wheel to select. Inside there are 128GB and 6GB of RAM, as well as a 1,800 mAh battery and a Qualcomm SM4450 processor.
The company that develops it, light, claims to be “a phone designed to give you the tools necessary to thrive as the most thoughtful and intentional version of yourself. We know how difficult it can be to go against the grain of a culture that seems made to distract you, that’s why we created the Light Phone III, to make it easier for you to go lightly.”
Although it seems a not very simpleit really does its job of keeping us away from distractions and the brand will be offering significant software updates without asking you to upgrade to a new cell phone.
It should be noted that the camera is intended for the favorite point-and-shoot cinema cameras, it has a dedicated two-stop shutter button, with center focus and a fixed focal length.
