Mexico City.- The Águilas of Club América were five minutes away from being left out of the 2024 Clausura Liguilla of the MX League today at the Azteca stadium.
Oussama Idrissi’s goal wanted to decide the 4th Final tie, but in the agonizing moment of the second leg, Julián Quiñones appeared to equalize the score.

His point-blank shot after Carlos Moreno’s save saved Club América from elimination, as due to their position in the standings they reached the prelude to the Clausura 2024 Grand Final.
However, Club América’s pass once again ignited controversy because, previously, a ball that left the field must have been in favor of Club Pachuca in lateral service.
After a corner charge, the Spaniard, Álvaro Fidalgo, points the ball out of the rectangle and although the lineman was facing him, he directed his flag towards the side that Club América attacked in the complement.
The Cremas moved quickly under the pressure of tying the game. The ball reached the feet of Diego Valdés, who launched a service towards Richard Sánchez who finished off with a header and although Carlos Moreno blocked his shot Julián Quiñones appeared to break the net.
The Club Pachuca players claimed this action, which has gone viral on all social networks after Club América qualified for the semis of Clausura 2024 of the MX League.
